I switched from Mailster because MailEngine's GMail API connection is way smoother. It's self-hosted like Sendy, so you still manage your own server, but the spam filter word detector actually works pretty well for me. My open rates definitely went up.

Honestly, the biggest difference for me is the content spinner and the unopen re-sender. Sendy doesn't have that built-in. It feels a bit more geared towards actively avoiding spam than just sending efficiently, if that makes sense.
